2021 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Colin Gamroth, Villanova, OL, Sr.,...Gamroth earns his third consecutive all-conference honor after being a second team selection in the Spring and a third team pick during the 2019 season. He has started all 11 games this season at center for a Villanova offensive line which has given up just 11 sacks all year. The Wildcats lead the CAA and rank eighth in the nation in sacks allowed with an average of only one per game. The offensive line has also helped Vil lanova rank second in the CAA in rushing offense (177.7 yards per game), scoring offense (31.7 points per game) and total offense (389.2 yards per game). The Wildcats have topped 200 rushing yards in a game five times, have scored 18 rushing touchdowns a nd are averaging 4.9 yards per carry. - Villanova Football

The line has given up just 12 quarterback sacks for a total loss of 84 yards all season, an average of one sack allowed per game. That ranks Villanova first in the CAA and seventh nationally in fewest sacks allowed. Villanova went three straight g ames earlier this year against Towson, Maine and William & Mary in which it did not allow a single sack. It was the first time that had happened since at least 2001 based on available data following the three-game stretch. The Wildcats offense has put up at least 20 points in all 12 games on the year, a feat not accomplished by Villanova since 1997. The play of the offensive line has enabled the Wildcats to average 192.1 rushing yards per game and top the 200-yard mark seven times in 12 contests. - Vill anova Football
