2019 NORTHEAST-10 ALL-ROOKIE TEAM (COACHES): Shamar Logan, New Haven,...Five more players earned spots on the Third Team with wide receiver AJ Greene (Middle Island, N.Y./Newfield), tight end Jake Lareau (East Granby, Conn./East Granby), offensive linema n Gavin Dowd (Williston Park, N.Y./Herricks) and place kicker Michael Stalenyj (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) all named to the Third Team Offense. Rounding out the third team honorees was lineman Devon Nzepuome (Milton, Mass./Milton). 2019 NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Shamar Logan, New Haven,...Logan had a breakout season for New Haven, averaging over 100 rushing yards per game (102.3) on his way to being named NE10 Rookie of the Year. The Chargers' offense wa s motored by Logan, who recorded a 1,000-yard season (1,023), including five games over the 100-yard mark. He ranks second in the league in rushing yards and rushing yards per game, while tied for sixth in rushing touchdowns (8). SEPT 16 NE10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Shamar Logan, New Haven, R-Fr., RB - Brooklyn, N.Y.,...Logan ran over the Stonehill offensive line all day as he racked up 157 yards, the first New Haven player with 150+ since Oct. 1, 2016. Logan's career-high yardage ca me on 22 carries for an average of 7.1 yards per rush. In addition, he scored a pair of touchdowns, including a 47-yard run in the first quarter that gave New Haven its first TD of the day. He would convert again in the fourth quarter, closing out a two- play, 19-yard drive with a seven yard TD. - Northeast-10 Conference Football
