SEPT 20 SOUTHERN CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ty Boeck, Jr., LB, Chattanooga, Soddy Daisy, Tenn.,...Chattanooga linebacker Ty Boeck had a season-high 13 tackles in the Mocs' 28-23 loss to SEC East leader Kentucky on Saturday. With the Wildcat s at the UTC 30-yard line in the second quarter, the junior from Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, had a strip sack for 8 yards, with the Mocs recovering the fumble. Boeck led a defensive unit that held Kentucky 12 points, 140.5 rushing yards and 45 passing yards below its seasonal averages. OCT 7 SOUTHERN CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ty Boeck, Chattanooga, So., LB, Soddy Daisy, Tenn.,...Chattanooga linebacker Ty Boeck had a team-high 12 tackles and forced two fumbles in the Mocs' 34-17 win at Mercer. Boeck, who has recorded at l east 10 tackles in each of his last three games, had a career-high 2.0 for loss against the Bears. Boeck's first forced fumble of the day came in the first quarter deep in Mercer territory. The sophomore from Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, recovered the fumble at the Bears' 7-yard line, setting up Chattanooga's first score of the day.Boeck forced another fumble in the fourth quarter, which was also recovered by the Mocs in Mercer territory. Boeck's efforts helped Chattanooga hold the Bears to just 29 ya rds rushing, their lowest total since restarting the program in 2013, and helped keep Mercer scoreless after the first quarter until a field goal in the fourth.
