2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: AP Tobias Harris, So., West Texas A&M,...Harris was one of two players from the Lone Star Conference named to the First Team joined by Tarleton's Zimari Manning while UT Permian Basin's Chris Hoad e arned Second Team recognition. Harris had arguably the best season for a returner in program history as he was one of three players in Division II to record over 1,000 combined return yards. As a punt returner, his 22.9 yards per return were second only to Alabama's Jaylen Waddle. The Pflugerville product finished the 2019 season with a program record 436 yards and a touchdown on 19 returns. He broke the single season and career punt return record against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 9 with his 72-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to help the Buffs overcome a 17-point first quarter deficit. - West Texas A&M Football

2019 ALL-LONE STAR CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Tobias Harris, West Texas A&M, CB & RS, So., Austin, Texas,...On the second team, Harris earned all-conference honors as a return specialist and corner back for the second straight season. The sophomor e recorded a team-high four inteceptions while compiling a career-high 68 tackles including 4.0 tackles for loss and 13 pass breakups. As a returner, he leads the nation in punt return average and is one of three players to have over 1,000 combined retur n yards this season. SEPT 16 LONE STAR SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tobias Harris, West Texas A&M, SR, Psychology, PR/KR, Pflugerville, Texas, Pflugerville HS,...Harris did it all for the Buffs on Saturday in their 49-21 victory over William Jewell in Liberty, Mo. The s ophomore finished the game with a total of five returns for 211 yards and a touchdown as WT scored 35 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Cardinals.Trailing 7-0 after the first drive of the game, Harris took the ensuing kickoff 90 y ards for his first career kickoff return touchdown. In the third quarter, he busted off a career-high 80-yard punt return putting the Buffs inside the WJC 10-yard line which resulted in another touchdown. After two games, the Pflugerville, Texas product ranks first in NCAA Division II in combined kick return yards and second in punt return average. - Lone Star Conference Football
