LSU offensive lineman Anthony Bradford declared for the 2023 NFL Draft after breaking into the lineup with 12 starts this season. Bradford, a redshirt junior, announced his decision Friday in an Instagram post. Bradford signed as a four-star recruit from Michigan. A backup for two years, he started five times as a redshirt sophomore, then didn't appear in the final month of the 2021 regular season and missed spring practice.Once Bradford returned, he earned a key role on LSU's offensive line with his versatility and size at 6-foot-5 and 345 pounds. He eventually settled at guard and started the final 10 games of the season. LSU won't bring back its entire starting offensive line without Bradford, but it has options to replace him. Sophomore guar d Garrett Dellinger started five games before injuries sidelined him in the middle of the season and could slide into the spot. - Baton Rouge Advocate

The offensive line was one of LSU's biggest concerns heading into spring practice. It needed to replace four starters, and the only returner had never established himself. Every spot was open. The group lacked proven depth. They had to start from scratch . But the line came together over those four weeks of practice, and now head coach Brian Kelly feels "really good" about the position. He recognizes the line still needs to improve, but he didn't express as much concern as he did two months ago.Part of K elly's optimism comes from the return of Anthony Bradford, who missed the last five games of the 2022 season and spring practice for undisclosed reasons.Bradford, a 6-foot-5, 365-pound redshirt junior, started five games last fall between right gu ard and left tackle. "We're pegging him as a tackle, but he could play guard," Kelly said Wednesday night in Metairie at the Tiger Athletic Foundation's final Coaches Caravan stop. "He's got some really good versatility. But we'll see where he is. He's g ot a really big summer ahead of him. He hasn't been in our offseason program. He's got to stay healthy. When you're off that long, we've got to be careful with him, but I think we'll peg him at tackle." Bradford would likely play right tackle. LSU settle d left tackle with true freshman Will Campbell, but the other side remained open as senior Cameron Wire and redshirt sophomore Marcus Dumervil competed for time. Bradford would push them, and his presence creates more depth. - Baton Rouge Advocate
