2022 PRESEASON ALL-SWAC SECOND TEAM: Wide Receiver: C.J. Bolar, Alcorn State,...Bolar, a 6-1, 190-pound senior wide receiver from Purvis, Mississippi, made an instant impact for the Braves in his first season with the program. After transferring into Alcorn at the end of the 2019 campaign, he was sidelined for the duration of the 2020-21 athletic year due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. In his first playing season for the Purple and Gold in fall of 2021, the former Vanderbilt Commodore finished the season 10th in the league with 668 receiving yards (16.7 yards/reception) and five touchdowns. He went on to average 60.7 receiving yards per contest for the season, including a 152-yard effort in a win away to Arkansas-Pine Bluff. - Alcorn State Football

Vanderbilt wide receiver C.J. Bolar has announced that he plans to transfer after playing two seasons for the Commodores. "I have officially entered my name into the transfer portal," Bolar wrote on Twitter this week. "I want to thank Coach Derek Mason and staff for looking after me these past couple of years. I am excited for what's to come." The 6-foot-1,190-pound Bolar battled through injuries during his sophomore season, but made six starts, registering 11 receptions for 79 yards. Bolar's most productive game was in a 24-7 loss at South Carolina when he caught three passes for 16 yards. Over the course of a healthier freshman year, Bolar was third on the team with 34 catches, which also tied him fourth all-time for receptions among Vanderbilt freshmen. He had 440 receiving yards and two touchdowns. - The Tennessean
