2022 PRESEASON RIMINGTON TROPHY WATCHLIST: Jacob Gall, Baylor,...Gall is one of six Big 12 Conference representatives on the 40-man list. This is the first time the sixth-year senior has been named to the Rimington Award Watch List. The Buffalo transfer made an immediate impact in his first year with the Bears, anchoring an offensive line that paved the way to BU's best season in program history. In the process, Gall was named to the Football Writers Association of America and the Phil Steele All-Americ a Second Teams.He was also named to the Associated Press All-Big 12 Second Team, the Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas Second Team and was tabbed All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the league's coaches. Gall started all 14 games in his first s eason at Baylor, leading an offensive line unit named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which honors the nation's best offensive line. Jacob Gall, an offensive lineman who played at UB the last four seasons, announced Tuesday that he will transfer to Baylor. Gall is a graduate transfer who will be immediately eligible. Gall played in 33 games in three seasons with the Bulls after he red shirted as a freshman in 2017. He started 20 games at both left guard and right guard in four seasons with the Bulls, including all seven of UB's games in 2020, at left guard. Gall is one of 12 players from UB's 2020 roster to enter the transfer portal a fter Leipold's departure, and is the first to announce his transfer destination. Quarterback Matt Myers and linebacker Tim Terry withdrew from the transfer portal earlier this month. - Buffalo News
