2022 ALL-GLIAC SECOND TEAM: QB Jason Whittaker, Davenport, Gr.,...Whittaker (Rockford, Mich.) proved to be the signal-caller that Davenport has so desperately needed over the years. The transfer from Northwestern wasted no time in showing his ability to throw the ball. In the third game of the season against Northwood on Sept. 24, Whittaker passed for 360 yards and five touchdowns. That began a stretch of four games in which he threw for 250-plus yards and multiple touchdowns. He set the single-game rec ord with six passing touchdowns against Wayne State on Oct. 15 and completed 30-of-49 passes for 369 yards. Whittaker was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week three times this season and currently has 175-of-317 through the air for 2,224 yards and 25 touchdowns. He set single-season marks for completions, yards, and touchdowns. - Davenport Football
