 Odua Isibor, California, Player News

After five years in the UCLA program, defensive lineman Odua Isibor decided to enter the transfer portal on April 21. Now, Isibor announced on his twitter account his transfer commitment to one of UCLA's Pac-12 rivals, as he is going to play out his sixth season of eligibility with the California Golden Bears. Isibor totaled 57 tackles with nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in his five-year collegiate career so far. This past season, he had 14 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble. Last season, Cal had the fourth-best defense in the Pac-12 in terms of yards allowed per game (366.7). The Golden Bears also allowed 22.3 points per game (third-best in Pac-12), 137.2 rushing yards (fifth-best) and 229.5 passing yards (seventh-best). - Odua Isibor Twitter and other online sources

UCLA's defensive ranks were further thinned Wednesday when veteran defensive lineman Odua Isibor announced he was entering the transfer portal, becoming the second member of the team to depart since the start of spring practice. Linebacker Caleb Johnson made a similar move two weeks ago. One of the last remaining holdovers from the Jim Mora era, Isibor was a contender to start this season at defensive tackle after having become a regular member of the playing rotation over his final four seasons in the program. He was a part-time starter in 2021 and made 14 tackles, including 4½ for losses, to go with one forced fumble. - Los Angeles Times
