Kent State has bolstered its defensive front with the addition of Antione Cook, a graduate transfer from Youngstown State. Cook announced via social media Friday afternoon that he had verbally committed to join the Golden Flashes, who have been shopping for defensive linemen to rush the passer and help shore up a run defense that's been exposed frequently the past two seasons. Cook accumulated 6.5 tackles for a loss in 2019 while playing defensive end for the Penguins, and tacked on four sacks with 39 t otal tackles. He finished with six tackles in three games during Youngstown State's winter/spring 2021 season, then entered his name in the transfer portal on March 9. - Akron Beacon Journal
