Stanford will likely be without its leading returning linebacker and cornerback against Oregon. Cardinal coach David Shaw said "unless something drastically changes" Gabe Reid and Kyu Kelly are unlikely to play against the No. 12 Ducks on Saturday (4:30 p.m., ABC). Those are two critical personnel blows to the Cardinal, who lost a series of players to transfers in the offseason and saw left tackle Walker Little and top cornerback Paulson Adebo opt out of the season. Reid, who had 43 tackles with nine fo r loss including two sacks last season, is Stanford's leading returning edge rusher and its most disruptive defender. Shaw said Reid will likely be replaced by Thunder Keck, a former walk-on who had three tackles last season. "Thunder Keck will get his f irst start, just got on scholarship this past week," Shaw said. "Had an outstanding camp, has been a really good special teams player for us. We will also play multiple outside linebackers in our base and nickel packages." - The Oregonian
