With Heisman Trophy-winning running back Barry Sanders on hand, Oklahoma State showed it still can run the football at an elite level. Jaylen Warren produced three of his team's eight rushing touchdowns to help the 10th-ranked Cowboys roll past TCU 63-17 on Saturday night. It was a great all-around day for the program. A 9-foot bronze statue of Sanders was unveiled outside of Oklahoma State's Boone Pickens Stadium before the game. At halftime, the 1988 Heisman winner's name and No. 21 jersey number were put in the Cowboy Football Ring of Honor inside the stadium.Oklahoma State put on a rushing clinic in front of Sanders, former players who returned to campus to support him and a crowd dressed in black. The rushing touchdown total was the second- best in program history. Dominic Richardson and Dezmon Jackson each had two rushing scores. "The offensive line played well," Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders said. "I feel like the offensive line just really dominated the front today, and that really helped our backs, and our backs made a couple of guys miss and made some wonderful plays." The Cowboys (9-1, 6-1 Big 12, No. 10 CFP) won their third straight. Oklahoma State moved into a tie for first place in the conference with Oklahoma with tw o games remaining, including a showdown with the Sooners on Nov. 27. "We just keep getting better every day," Sanders said. "We take it day by day, snap by snap. As long as we keep doing that, take care of the little things, the little things will take c are of the big things." - Oklahoma State/AP College Football

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy is trying to wrap his mind around these low-scoring games in what once was the wide-open Big 12. The transition has been easier for him because his Cowboys are winning. No. 19 Oklahoma State held No. 21 Baylor to 280 total yards and beat the Bears 24-14 on Saturday in a matchup of Big 12 teams that entered the night unbeaten. Such defensive performances are becoming the norm for the Cowboys - they haven't allowed more than 23 points in a game this season. "Obviously, the defense playing good," Gundy said. "I just don't want to jinx them. They just keep playing, good. I hope that they just continue on like that." The offense did just enough.Jaylen Warren ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns and Tay Martin caught se ven passes for 108 yards for the Cowboys (5-0, 2-0). Oklahoma State's Spencer Sanders passed for 182 yards and a touchdown and ran for 76 yards, but he helped Baylor stay in the game by throwing three interceptions. "We've got to play better at that posi tion than he did tonight when it comes to turning the ball over," Gundy said. "He's a dangerous player. But no, we can't miminize those mistakes." Abram Smith rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown for Baylor (4-1, 2-1). The Bears, who were coming off a win over Iowa State, missed a chance to beat ranked teams in consecutive weeks for the first time since 1974. - Oklahoma State/AP College Football

His totals for carr ies and rushing yards were both career highs and both numbers marked the most for a player in any game involving a Big 12 team this season. Warren broke free for a 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. It was OSU's longest rushing play since Chuba Hubbard scored on a 92-yard rush against TCU in 2019, and tied for the second-longest play from scrimmage in the Big 12 this season. It was the second-longest of Warren's career and also marked his fourth consecutive game with a rushing touchdown. The se nior had 150 rushing yards at halftime, the most for a Cowboy in a half since Hubbard rushed for 192 in the second half against TCU in 2019. - Big 12 football

Jaylen Warren rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns, Oklahoma State pitched a second-half shutout and the Cowboys escaped with a 21-20 victory over Boise State on Saturday night. Boise State had a chance to steal the win after a turnover late in the ga me, but Jason Taylor got a fingertip on Jonah Dalmas' 36-yard field goal attempt, pushing the ball wide left with 2:05 remaining. Oklahoma State (3-0) leaned on its rushing attack to grind out the win, throwing the ball just 13 times. However, none was b igger than Spencer Sanders' 24-yard completion to Cale Cabbiness to ice the win in the waning minutes of the game. "I told the team after the game that because of the way that we have to play football right now, we're learning how to play as a team," Okl ahoma State coach Mike Gundy said. "I thought our coaches made really good adjustments at halftime, particularly defensively on a couple of things." Gundy's assessment came across as modest, considering his defense held Boise State to 64 total yards in t he second half. Boise State (1-2) hasn't lost two games this early in a season since 2005 when the Broncos started 0-2. "We have to be more consistent," Boise State coach Andy Avalos said. "Obviously the way we finished the first half wasn't exact ly stellar. We didn't finish the half the way we are capable of." After Boise State raced to a 10-0 lead, Warren put the hostile home crowd on notice when he broke two tackles and outran the rest of the Boise State defense for a 75-yard touchdown run wit h 4:59 left in the first quarter. - Oklahoma State/AP College Football

Just when things were looking up for the Utah State football team, it suffers yet another blow. Aggies senior running back Jaylen Warren has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. Multiple reports surfaced Monday before they were confirmed by the team in the game notes for the upcoming matchup against Air Force. The Herald Journal reported Friday that Warren was leaving. Warren is one of Utah State's best players and their leading running back. He ran for 252 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries. Warren is the latest player to enter the transfer portal, departing from an Aggies team that is just 1-4 this season. That one win came on Thanksgiving Day when they beat New Mexico, 41-27, behind an impressive performance from quarterback Andrew Peasley. Warre n did not play in that game. - Salt Lake Tribune
