Ohio State football is losing a valuable behind-the scenes member of its coaching staff. Fordham announced Friday that it has hired Kenny Anunike as defensive line coach. Anunike spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant working with the Buckeye s' defensive line. During those summers, when defensive line coach Larry Johnson went out recruiting, Anunike took over what he called "D-line school." His energy made a palpable impact on the young players in those rooms. "His biggest thing is energy," defensive end Zach Harrison said last year. "It's hard to come into practice and not match him. He's yelling and screaming and his voice is all intense. You can't be lazy about it because he just brings it out of you. That's his biggest attribute." Our n ew DL Coach comes to the Bronx after working with the same position at The Ohio State University! He also is the proud owner of a Super Bowl ring from his playing days! A Columbus native, Anunike was a two-time All-ACC selection at Duke. He graduated as the Blue Devils' all-time sacks leader with 15, then spent time in the NFL with Denver, Carolina and the New York Jets. - Cleveland Plain Dealer
