The Bryan, Texas native finished the year 21-of-28 (.750) on field goal att empts to lead the Southland Conference. He was an impressive 9-of-14 (.643) on kicks of 40 yards or more and garnered national recognition following the Cards game at Houston Baptist where he booted back-to-back career long field goals (51 and 53 yards) to earn Southland and STATS FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Giffen also averaged nearly 43 yards per punt on 17 punts, including four punts of more than 50 yards, on the season. - Lamar Football
