2021 SIAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Brett Sylve, Kentucky State,...Brett Sylve (Kentucky State) served as a leader for the Kentucky State Thorobreds and was named this year's Offensive Player of the Year after averaging 141.18 all-purpose y ards per game, good for 17th in Division II. He also led the league in scoring averaging 7.2 points per game on 17 rushing touchdowns this season, tied for 5th in Division II. The Kentucky State Thorobreds defeat their rival the Central State Marauders 20-6 at the Classic for Columbus inside Ohio Stadium. The Thorobreds rushed for a total of 322 yards compared to the Marauders 260 total offensive yards. Kentucky State controll ed possession of the ball with a total of 33:53 minutes and nearly the entire third quarter 11:58. Christopher Coneway led his team with 93 yards and averaged 7.2 yards per carry. Kendon Walker earned the longest rush of the day with 39 yards. Sylve finished first in the SIAC, and 15th nationally, with 108.8 yards per game. His 1,088 also leads the conference, and he is one of two running backs to reach the 1,000-yard plateau.
