  2021 CONFERENCE USA NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR (COACHES): WKU WR Jerreth Sterns is the conference's Newcomer of the Year after his record-setting season for the Hilltoppers. Sterns' 137 receptions (a single-season C-USA record), 1,718 yards and 14 touchdowns led all league receivers. Sterns is the national leader in catches, receptions per game (10.6), receiving yards and receiving yards per game (132.2). Sterns, a native of Waxahachie, Texas, has 57 more catches than C-USA's second-leading receiver and 39 more than the second-leading receiver in the FBS. Entering the Hilltoppers' bowl game, Sterns ranks seventh in FBS history with his 137 catches, just 21 behind the record-holder Zay Jones of East Carolina (158 in 2016). - Conference USA Football

  OCT 18 C-USA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: WKU WR Jerreth Sterns continued his incredible receiving run in WKU's 43-20 victory at ODU, as he totaled 13 receptions for a career-high 221 yards and career-long 74-yard touchdown. Sterns became the second Hilltopper in program history to eclipse the 200-yard receiving mark and first since 1995. He had eight catches for 188 yards in the first half alone, as WKU took a commanding 30-3 lead into the break. In a three-game span - against undefeated Michigan State, undefeated UTSA and the Monarchs, who previously had the No. 2 defense in Conference USA - Sterns has accumulated 46 receptions for 602 yards and four touchdowns. Sterns leads all FBS receivers with 69 receptions for 962 yards, while his eight touchdowns are tied for fourth. - C-USA Football

  2019 ALL-SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM (COACHES): WR Jerreth Sterns, Houston Baptist, So., Waxahachie, Texas,...Sophomore wide receiver Jerreth Sterns was also a third-team pick, leading the nation with 105 receptions, the second-most in Southland history. The Waxahachie, Texas, native ranks sixth with 833 receiving yards and tied for fifth with nine receiving touchdowns. He also scored a rushing touchdown and threw a touchdown pass. Sterns tied the Southland record with 18 receptions against UIW. He had three 100-yard receiving performances, including a season-high 136 against UIW.   2019 PRESEASON ALL-SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): WR Jerreth Sterns, Houston Baptist, So., Midlothian, Texas,...Sterns earned all-conference honorable mention as a freshman, leading the Southland and setting the school record with 68 catches for 684 yards and four touchdowns. The Midlothian, Texas, native also added a rushing and passing touchdown. He recorded three of the seven 100-yard receiving performances in HBU history, including 11 catches for 115 yards at Central Arkansas, then tying his own school record with 11 catches for 67 yards and rushed for a touchdown against Nicholls.
