2020 ALL-BIG 12 CONFERENCE FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: DB Greg Eisworth, Iowa State,...Eisworth, the two-time team captain and leader in the Cyclone secondary, is the first Cyclone in school history earn All-Big 12 First Team accolades three times. The last Cyc lone to be a three-time first-teamer was punt returner James McMillion (Big Eight) from 1991-93. Eisworth, who has 31 career starts, has 41 tackles, four PBU and one interception on the season. Given the financial stakes of college athletics amid the pandemic and a new focus on social justice in the country, college athletes have been using their platforms and positions to make new demands of their universities. As such, there has been a renewe d discussion of creating a players' association or unionizing, though those conversations and their logistics remain in a nascent state. "I'm not against it," Eisworth said, "but I can't say I'm all for it, either, because there are just so many unknowns . "But I'm all for players coming together and speaking up for what they believe in." Campbell echoed Eisworth's sentiment.
