2021 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Malik Fisher, Villanova, DL, Gr.,...One of the top performers on the Villanova defense from the very beginning of his collegiate career, Fisher is a first team all-conference selection for the second straight season and garners his third career All-CAA honor overall. He was a preseason Stats Perform All-America selection and has lived up to that billing with a strong regular season. Fisher has started all 11 games and leads the Wildcats with four sacks and se ven quarterback hurries. His efforts are one of the reasons Villanova leads the nation in team passing efficiency defense and has not given up a touchdown in any of the last seven games played. Fisher has 46 total tackles on the year, including 16 solo s tops and 30 assisted tackles. He has tied a career high with eight tackles on two occasions and his season stats also include 7.5 tackles for loss, one interception and two forced fumbles. - Villanova Football

He bega n the year by recording a sack in four straight games and having at least half a sack in six of the first seven contests. Fisher tallied five total stops to go along with 1.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries in a 52-45 win over Towson which helped put t he Wildcats on the national radar. In his third year as a starter on the defensive line, Fisher has played in 34 career games and has tallied 60 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, five pass breakups, five forced fumbles, three fumble recov eries and one blocked kick. - Villanova Football
