A two-time captain at Cle mson, Pinckney was invited to the East-West Shrine Game, a college all-star game for NFL evaluators, before choosing to play his final year of eligibility in Minnesota. The Gophers added a player with College Football Playoff experience to their 2021 roster Monday. Nyles Pinckney, a 6-1, 300-pound defensive tackle, announced his transfer to the Gophers from national powerhouse Clemson. The graduate transfer played four seasons for the Tigers after redshirting in 2016. A South Carolina native, he was an all-ACC third team member in 2019 before starting two of 12 games in 2020, totaling 29 tackles and two sacks. - Minneapolis Star Tribune

A second Clemson defensive tackle has entered the transfer portal on Monday, and this time it's a former All-ACC performer. Tigers defensive tackle Nyles Pinckney is in the portal, according to a source. Pinckney, a senior, was named third-team All-ACC i n 2019. He appeared in every game this past season, recording 22 tackles, including three tackles for loss. - The State
