The Arizona Wildcats picked up a commitment from Vanderbilt grad transfer Kenny Hebert, an outside linebacker with one year of eligibility remaining. The versatile 6-foot-4, 232-pound defender is the Wildcats' second linebacker transfer this month, joining Wisconsin transfer Malik Reed. In four seasons at Vandy, Hebert appeared in 32 games, including seven of nine games in the 2020 season. The New Orleans native recorded two tackles against both Texas A&M and Florida last season. Hebert's best year came in 2019 when he started seven games at outside linebacker and had 34 tackles (19 solo), seven tackles for loss and two sacks. - Arizona Star News

Vanderbilt linebacker Kenny Hebert has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to numerous reports. Hebert is, at least, the ninth Vanderbilt player to enter the transfer portal since the end of spring practice. He joins starting linebacker Dimitri Moore, starting safety Tae Daley, starting cornerback D.C. Williams, former starting safety Frank Coppet, starting wide receiver C.J. Bolar, linebacker Colin Anderson, running back J.R. Tran-Reno and safety Tre Douglas. Matt Zenitz of AL.com was the first to report Hebert's appearance in the transfer portal. The size of Vanderbilt's active roster is unknown, especially since Derek Mason was fired on Nov. 29. The depth chart shows less than 50 scholarship players available for Saturday's game against Tennessee. - Tennessean
