When opponents look across the line this season against San Diego State, there's no doubt they always will have a Thomas to contend with, whether on offense or defense. It's no secret. Senior left tackle Zachary Thomas and junior defensive lineman Camero n Thomas, brothers who are Carlsbad High graduates, were joined by senior linebacker Caden McDonald on the 2021 preseason all-Mountain West team announced Thursday morning at the conference's football media days event. It is the seventh straight year the Aztecs have placed at least three players on the preseason team, which is selected by Mountain West media members, after doing it just three times in the 10 years from 2005-14. Thomas allo wed only two sacks in 219 passing plays (0.91 pct.) and four pressures (1.83 pct.). Additionally, Thomas leads the team with 36.5 knockdowns (4.6 per game) and is the only Aztec offensive lineman to appear in all eight games and not have a penalty. - San Diego State Football
