2020 ALL-CONFERENCE USA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB-Devon Key, R-Sr., WKU,...A four-year starter on The Hill, Key broke through to the All-CUSA Second Team after earning Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2018 and an All-Freshman nod in 2017. The Lexin gton, Ky., native ranks fourth in C-USA with 86 total tackles, which pushed his career total to 344 as a Hilltopper. That mark of 344 ranks fourth among active FBS players and 10th all-time in WKU's 102-season program history. 2020 WUERFFEL TROPHY PRESEASON WATCH LIST: Devon Key, Western Kentucky, senior, defensive back,...In 2019 - his third year as starting safety - Key ranked third on the Hilltoppers with 93 tackles and tied for second with eight pass breakups. Overall, the Lexington native started all 13 games and had four double-digit tackle performances, while recording a career-high two tackles for loss in WKU's 20-14 win at FIU. Key also added a pair of pass breakups in back-to-back games at Old Dominion and vs. Army. In the Hilltoppers' blowout, 45-19 win at Arkansas, Key put the nail in the coffin with a 25-yard interception return for touchdown in the fourth quarter. - Western Kentucky Football

NOV 11 CONFERENCE USA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: WKU junior S Devon Key returned his fifth-career interception 25 yards for a touchdown in WKU's 45-19 victory at Arkansas, while tying for the team lead with seven tackles. Key and the Hilltoppers held Arkansas to only 87 yards passing (9-of-26 with no touchdowns and two interceptions), the fewest by the Razorbacks since they had 61 on Sept. 9, 2014, at Texas Tech. Removing touchdown rushes of 86 and 76 yards by Arkansas running back Rakeem Boyd, WKU h eld the Razorbacks to 178 total yards of offense on 52 plays (3.4 yards per play). - Conference USA Football
