2019 ALL-NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): DB Zach Cofrancesco, New Haven,...The remaining three First Team individual honors came on defense with lineman Markel Johnson (Jersey City, N.J./Lincoln), linebacker Allah Sessions (Elmira, N.Y./Elm ira) and defensive back Zach Cofrancesco (East Haven, Conn./Notre Dame). All combined, the trio accounted for 171 tackles with the graduate transfer Cofrancesco leading the team with 72 total stops. Johnson led the Chargers in tackles for loss and sacks with 12.0 and 6.5, respectively. Cofrancesco and Sessions also combined for three interceptions, while Cofrancesco also added a pair of forced fumbles. - New Haven Football

OCT 7 NE10 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Zach Cofrancesco, New Haven, Senior, DB, East Haven, Conn.,...Cofrancesco anchored the Chargers defense as New Haven defeated Pace to stay unbeaten on its home turf.. The graduate transfer finished the game with 1 0 tackles and added to that a pair of second quarter interceptions as well as a crucial fourth quarter forced fumble that effectively ended the game as the Chargers were able to run out the clock. Both of his interceptions set up scoring drives, all lead ing to a 28-7 lead at halftime. His 10 tackles extended his team lead for the season to 40 and was the second time this season with double figure tackles. - Northeast-10 Conference Football
