After his stellar performance at the NFL Combine back at the beginning of March, former Louisiana Tech defensive back L'Jarius Sneed was reportedly climbing up many NFL teams draft boards. That speculation was confirmed on Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft Sat urday as the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs picked Sneed as the 138th overall choice in the fourth round. Sneed, who's versatility was a big selling point for franchises for the former Tech standout as he has plenty of starts in his coll egiate career at both cornerback and safety, raised eyebrows at the Combine, blazing a 4.37 40-yard dash along with a 41-inch vertical jump. "Size. Speed. Work ethic. Versatility. He has played two years at corner for us and two years at safety," Bulldog s head football coach Skip Holtz said of Sneed. "He has position flexibility. And when you look at NFL rosters and they only carry six defensive backs, that's a huge plus. He can play anywhere on the back end." - Monroe News Star
