2019 ALL-IVY LEAGUE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Jared Gerbino, Dartmouth (Sr., QB - Rush, N.Y.),...Gerbino, making the second team for a second straight year, was a dual threat behind center for the Big Green this year, rushing for 368 yards and a team-high s ix touchdowns while completing 68.6 percent of his passes for 940 yards and nine touchdowns with only two interceptions. The 6-4, 230-pound senior from Rush, New York, finished his career with 1,496 rushing yards, the most by any Dartmouth quarterback, a nd 21 touchdowns, tied for fifth all-time at the school. - Dartmouth Football

In a battle of Ivy League unbeatens, Dartmouth got a stellar defensive effort coupled with a strong rushing attack to avenge last year's loss to Princeton in a 27-10 victory at Yankee Stadium. Quarterback Jared Gerbino ran for two touchdowns and defensiv e end Niko Lalos returned an interception 22 yards for another as the Big Green took sole possession of first place in the Ivy League standings. Dartmouth rose one spot to No. 12 while Princeton fell 10 spots to No. 19 in this week's AFCA FCS Coaches' To p 25 Poll.North Dakota State received at 26 first-place votes following a dominant win over Western Illinois and remains the No. 1 team in the nation. James Madison collected a 54-16 win over then-No. 25 New Hampshire and checks in at No. 2. Weber State defeated then-No. 22 North Dakota for its third straight win over a ranked opponent and remains No. 3. Jared Gerbino rushed for 97 and two touchdowns as No. 13 Dartmouth beat No. 10 Princeton 27-10 on Saturday in a battle of Ivy League unbeatens at Yankee Stadium. Dartmouth (8-0, 5-0) scored the first 17 points of the game, highlighted by Niko Lalos' 22-y ard interception return for a touchdown. Gerbino added a 1-yard sneak and Connor Davis made a 33-yard field goal. Gerbino capped the scoring with a 21-yard run up the middle on the first play of the fourth quarter for Dartmouth's 10th straight victory, a venging last year's loss to Princeton. The Tigers (7-1, 4-1) had their 17-game winning streak end.Kevin Davidson threw for 210 yards with one touchdown pass to Graham Adomitis and two interceptions for Princeton. The Tigers entered ranked among th e top 10 FCS teams in scoring and total yards, but turned it over on three of their first four possessions and finished with just 246 yards. Jared Gerbino threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score, backup Derek Kyler threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score and Dartmouth beat Yale 42-10 on Saturday for coach Buddy Teevens' 100th career win. Gerbino hit Drew Estrada on a 75-yard TD pass o n the second play of the game, then ran six yards for a score and a 14-0 lead and Dartmouth never looked back.Kyler added a 2-yard scoring run, set up by Quinton Arello's interception of a Kurt Rawlings pass, then hit Hunter Hagdorn on a 31-yard p ass after a missed Yale field goal and the Big Green led 28-3 at halftime. Gerbino was 5 of 7 for 224 yards and Kyler was 5 of 5 for 91 yards for Dartmouth (4-0, 2-0). Estrada had five catches for 203 yards. Dakari Falconer scored on a 10-yard run in the third quarter before Yale (3-1, 1-1) scored its only touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Nolan Grooms to Darrion Carrington with 47 seconds left to play. - AP College Football

Jared Gerbino passed for a touchdown and ran for another to help Dartmouth beat Pennsylvania 28-15 in the Ivy League opener for both teams on Friday night. Gerbino made it 28-7 for the Big Green (3-0) on a 9-yard keeper with 3:57 left in the game to cap a 15-play, 84-yard drive that took over eight minutes. The Quakers (1-2) needed less than two minutes to counter with a six-play, 75-yard drive and converted the 2-point attempt to cut the deficit to 13. Penn then recovered its onside kick but turned it over on downs, allowing Dartmouth to run out the clock.Gerbino was 9 of 12 for 119 yards and ran 13 times for 77 yards. His 57-yard pass to Zack Bair opened the scoring. Jack Traynor recovered a fumble and returned it 17 yards to give the Big Gree n a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. Jared Gerbino threw for three touchdowns as Dartmouth beat winless Colgate 38-3 on Saturday. Gerbino was 12-of-16 passing for 193 yards for the Big Green (2-0) before being relieved by Derek Kyler in the fourth quarter. Dartmouth scored on its first thre e drives, beginning with Gerbino's 30-yard strike to Hunter Hagdorn. Caylin Parker followed that score with a 4-yard touchdown run, capping an eight-play, 69-yard drive, for a 14-0 lead with 2:11 left in the first quarter.Gerbino's next touchdown throw was a 40-yarder hauled in by Drew Estrada midway through the second quarter. Connor Davis added a 39-yard field goal just before halftime for a 24-0 Dartmouth lead. Colgate managed a field goal late in the third but Gerbino replied with his third t ouchdown throw, this one from 34 yards to Robbie Mangas, to make it 31-3 with 2:52 left in the quarter.
