When asked by The Star Press in the week after the combine why Pinter had the potential to capitalize on the pre-draft process, both Neu and Johnson credited Pinter's status as a "football junkie." Pinter embodies the type of individual on and off the fi eld that Neu and Johnson - who've used their respective pasts in the sport to advise Pinter at times - believe any NFL team would want. He is someone who, by his own admission, can talk to NFL coaches about the ins and outs of BSU's offense all day - whi ch Neu would expand to Pinter's responsibilities in the protections the Cardinals ran, run schemes they called and more.Pinter would go out of his way to mentor his fellow offensive linemen at Ball State, especially when it came to watching film, outside of the usual time they'd spend with coaches. And Pinter, according to Johnson, is "the truest (Chicago) Bears fan I think I've ever met." Johnson said he's talked to scouts about the time, during this past fall camp, prior to one of BSU's offensi ve line meetings, Pinter was able to name the entire Bears roster from the 2010 season. Who was active, on injured reserve, on the physically unable to perform list - everything, with proper spelling and no help. "I was a pretty big Bears fan growing up, " said Pinter, whose collection of Bears jerseys impressed Neu. "But now I got to kind of disconnect from that and just be a fan of whatever team I'm (going to) have a chance to play for here." - Star Press
