The TCU Horned Frogs are losing one of their most talented defensive players as junior tackle Ross Blacklock has declared for the 2020 NFL draft. Blacklock announced his decision to declare for the draft on his Instagram with a post thanking the TCU coac hing staff. Blacklock was a freshman All-American in 2017 before suffering an injury that sidelined him for his sophomore year in 2018. As a junior, he returned to post 40 tackles and 3.5 sacks, and was the primary pass rusher for the Horned Frogs. Black lock was selected as a captain for several games in 2019, including the final four games of the season. He was named a First Team All-Big 12 member this season and was an honorable mention for Defensive Lineman of the Year in the conference. With Blacklo ck's departure, TCU now has a major hole to fill on the defensive line. Corey Bethley will likely keep his starting role at one defensive tackle position, leaving a battle for Blacklock's spot that will likely have rising junior Terrell Cooper as the fav orite. Cooper, listed at 6-2, 286 pounds, started six games as a redshirt freshman in 2018. - The Dallas Morning News
