Florida was missing two key defenders, both out with ankle injuries -- end Jabari Zuniga and linebacker Jonathan Greenard. Greenard entered the game leading the Gators with four sacks. The Florida Gators are receiving a little more preseason love than they have in the recent past after winning 10 games last season and finishing ranked No. 7 in the nation. Dan Mullen's team has been picked to finish second in the Eastern Division behind Georgia by members of the media who attended SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala., earlier this week. UF received 21 first-place votes in the East, but that leaves them a distant second behind the Bulldogs, who received 233 first-place votes. The 2019 SEC Football Media Days start next week and Gators coach Dan Mullen will be joined by quarterback Feleipe Franks, running back Lamical Perine and defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga. The SEC office announced the full list of players attending the fo ur-day media festival on Wednesday, which runs Monday through Thursday in Hoover, Ala. The Gators will attend the event Monday, July 15, along with LSU and Missouri. This marks the first time since 2016 that Florida will appear on the first day at the ev ent. - Florida Gators Football
