Former Syracuse football wide receiver Alec Lemon has been hired as the head coach at Glen Burnie High School in Maryland, the school announced on Facebook. Lemon played for nearby Arundel High School in Gambrills, located just nine miles South of Glen B urnie. In Central New York, Lemon set records for career (201) and single-season (72) receptions - both of which have since been eclipsed. A first-team All-Big East selection as a senior, he ranks third in program history with 2,596 receiving yards and i s tied for fourth with 18 receiving touchdowns. After leaving Syracuse in 2012, Lemon was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans. He appeared on the practice squad for the Texans and Baltimore Ravens over the next two years before a stin t with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2016. - The Post-Standard
