Trevor Lawrence appears destined to be the No. 1 overall pick in next year's NFL draft, and he is already being described as one of the top pro quarterback prospects of all time. Lawrence has been the talk of social media on more than a few occasions over the past couple of weeks, but not just for his play on the field. He is also regularly trending on social media on Sundays as fan bases post about how he could help their team and how they should "tank for Trevor" to get the No. 1 overall pick. "Obviously if you're on social media at all you can't help but see some of it," Lawrence said with a smile. "But it's just funny. It's a new team every week, so I don't think there's any real insight of what's going to happen. It's a long season."

Lawrence, who announced prior to Clemson's opener that this would be his final season of college football, is trying not to pay too much attention to it either. But he can't help but chuckle when he logs onto Twitter and sees that NFL fan bases are tagging him in tweets, begging and pleading for him to end up with their team. "It's just kind of funny, but I don't take it too seriously," Lawrence said. "I know in this position you can't really predict where you're gonna go, what's going to happen. All I can do is enjoy my time while I'm here, perform the best I can, and enjoy where I'm at right now. We'll see next year what happens." - The State
