Draft Scout College Football Player News

Garrett Wilson is moving into the slot in his second year as an Ohio State football wide receiver. He spent his freshman season rotating with Binjimen Victor outside, where he caught 30 passes for 432 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receiver coach Brian Hartline stated that he always envisioned Wilson's skill set as a match for the slot. With K.J. Hill gone, the opportunity opened up.

His move may not be permanent should Chris Olave declare for the draft after the season. Top 100 wide receivers Mookie Cooper and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will have a college year under their belt and can man that spot if needed. Wilson could join Jullian Fleming, Gee Scott Jr. and Jameson Williams as outside threats. With Ryan Day calling plays, Wilson's third season could mirror the improvements superstar wide receivers display with added NFL experience. He'll be dangerous no matter where he lines up. - Cleveland Plain Dealer
