Kee Whetzel, who started two games at outside linebacker and also played safety for Oregon State, announced that he's transferring to West Florida, the 2019 NCAA Division II champions. Whetzel stepped away from OSU football last August for personal reasons, then was declared out of the program in October. Whetzel eventually putting his name into the NCAA transfer portal in December. Whetzel, signed by Oregon State coach Gary Andersen in 2016, played outside linebacker in 2017 and 2018. During that stretch Whetzel started twice and made 65 tackles. So much was thought of Whetzel heading into coach Jonathan Smith's first season in 2018 that he was one of two players representing Oregon State at Pac-12 media day. - The Oregonian
