  2023 BIG SOUTH-OVC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Terrell Allen, DL, Sr., Tennessee State,...Allen, a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, led the FCS in sacks (1.32/game) and tackles for loss (2.5/game) during the season and ranked second nationally in forced fumbles (0.45/game). Overall the senior tallied 28.0 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks in 11 games while also adding 65 tackles (44 solo), 10 quarterback hurries, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery. He led Tennessee State to its first winning season since 2017 and keyed a defense that was second in the Association in total defense (333.82 yards allowed per game) and third in scoring defense (24.7 points allowed per game). His best game of the season came against Lindenwood where he made 10 tackles, including an Association-record 6.5 for loss, and had 4.5 sacks while also forcing two fumbles in a 43-20 win. During a four-game stretch from Weeks 7-10, Allen recorded 18.5 TFL and 11.5 quarterback takedowns. - Big South-OVC Football Association

  2022 ALL-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: DE - Terrell Allen, Tennessee State,...Transfer defensive end Terrell Allen made a big impact from his defensive end position in his first year as a Tiger. Allen finds himself on the All-OVC First Team Defense after earning second-team honors last season at Austin Peay. Allen finished the year with 36 tackles (20 solo and 16 assists), while leading the team in tackles for loss (12.0), and finishing tied-in sacks with 4.5. He also swatted down two passes and had seven quarterback hurries. Allen dominated UTM's offensive line, collecting nine tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. He finished with 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks against EIU. - Tennessee State Football

  2021 OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE SECOND-TEAM (COACHES): DT - Terrell Allen, Austin Peay,...In his sophomore season, Allen made the jump to Second Team All-OVC after a campaign that saw him record 11 tackles for loss and five sacks. His 11 TFLs were tied for most in the OVC, and his five sacks were third-most in the league. Allen also averaged 3.3 tackles per game, ranking fifth among OVC defensive linemen.
