Despite the losses of Pittman and Prince, UAB does have two tight ends with playing experience during their time on the Southside. Beyond the presence of Terrell McDonald and Maleak Bryant, the Blazers employ a host of redshirt freshmen, an incoming prep signee and two former JUCO transfers. McDonald is the most experienced tight end remaining on the roster, appearing in every game last season with one start, and is the only returning tight end with a reception for the Blazers. Bryant, a heralded recrui t out of Garden City Community College (Kan.), has an opportunity to make good on his upside with a 6-6, 240-pound frame. He played in three games during the 2020 season but missed last year due to an injury. The Blazers signed two tight ends in the 2022 recruiting class and both have tangible qualities similar to that of the departed Pittman and Prince. - Birmingham Post Herald
