  2019 AFCA FCS COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: LB Christian Rozeboom, Sr., South Dakota St.,...A senior from Sioux Center, Iowa, Rozeboom posted his fourth consecutive 100-tackle season with a team-high 111 stops in 2019, including six tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. He also recorded two interceptions, forced three fumbles and recovered a pair of fumbles. Rozeboom tallied double figures in tackles six times during the 2019 season en route to becoming the Jackrabbits' career tackles leader with 475.   2019 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY FIRST TEAM (COACHES): LB Christian Rozeboom, South Dakota State,...A native of Sioux Center, Iowa, Rozeboom was a first-team pick at linebacker for the fourth consecutive year after registering a team-high 101 total tackles, including five tackles for loss and a sack, through the end of the regular season. He recorded double figures in tackles five times, including four games in league play. A finalist for the STATS FCS Buck Buchanan Award as the top defensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision, Rozeboom also forced three fumbles, recovered a pair of fumbles and intercepted two passes. Rozeboom, who is the career tackles leader at SDSU with 465, is the second Jackrabbit to be a four-time first-team all-MVFC honoree, matching wide receiver Jake Wieneke, who accomplished the feat from 2014-17. - South Dakota State Football

  South Dakota State is seeded seventh and will host a second-round matchup in the upcoming Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs. The 24-team field was announced Sunday morning by the NCAA. The Jackrabbits, 8-4 overall, will be making their eighth consecutive playoff appearance and ninth overall. SDSU is among the top eight seeds for the fourth year in a row. SDSU will face the winner between the Nov. 30 first-round matchup between San Diego and host Northern Iowa. The Jackrabbits' first game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff Dec. 7 at Dana J.
