2019 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM (COACHES): Defensive Back - Kevin McGill, Eastern Michigan,...McGill appears on the All-MAC teams for the second-time in his career following a second team showing in 2018. A fixture on the preseason watch lis ts in the preseason with Bednarik Award, Nagurski, and Thorpe Award Watch List selections, McGill finished the regular season with 29 tackles, five pass breakups, two TFLs, and an interception as senior. Having started 39 of 49 career games, McGill is ti ed for the most passes defended in an EMU career with 28 (21 breakups, 5 interceptions). He has compiled 118 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and three fumble recoveries in his career. McGill is one of three Mid-American Conference defenders selected to the Nagurski Trophy Watch List joining Javon Hagan (Ohio) and Antonio Jones-Davis (Northern Illinois).A preseason First Tea m All-MAC selection by Athlon Sports, McGill was part of an experienced EMU secondary that ranked third in the league in interceptions and 33rd nationally in 2018.
