 Eryk Anders, Alabama, Player News

  05/23/22 - OLB Eryk AndersrSr/2010, Alabama, 6-1, 242 (DS#45 OLB) + More +

For the third time in his Ultimate Fighting Championship career, former Alabama linebacker Eryk Anders lost a split decision. The scorecards of the three judges showed three different interpretations of what happened in Anders' middleweight fight against South Korea's Junyong Park in the first bout on the main card of UFC Fight Night 206 on Saturday. All the rounds were scored 10-9, but none of the three rounds was scored the same by all three judges at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Anders has a UFC record of 6-7 and pro MMA mark of 14-7. Anders is 4-5 as a middleweight and 2-2 as a light heavyweight in UFC. Park has a 4-2 UFC record and pro MMA mark of 14-5. Anders spent much of the fight throwing his left and trying to follow it into a wrestling position against Park. He missed an opportunity in the second round when he got Park on the canvas, but went in too high and slipped over his opponent. - Birmingham News
