 Kevin Faulk, LSU, Player News

  06/16/20 - RB Kevin FaulkSr/1999, LSU, 5-08, 205 (DS#3 RB) + More +

Kevin Faulk, LSU's running backs coach and all-time leading rusher, received a spot on the 2021 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced the ballot Tuesday. It included 177 players and 40 coaches. The 2021 class will be announced early next year. Faulk finished his LSU career as the most productive running back in school history. During his three-year stint, Faulk rushed for a school-record 4,557 yards and 46 touchdowns. Faulk still holds 10 school records and leads the Southeastern Conference in all-purpose yards with 6,833.

Faulk received first-team Associated Press All-America recognition in 1996 as an all-purpose back. After his LSU career, Faulk played 13 seasons with the New England Patriots. He won three Super Bowls. The Patriots inducted Faulk into their franchise Hall of Fame. Faulk started a coaching career after he retired from the NFL in 2012. He worked his way up from the high school ranks to LSU. This year, coach Ed Orgeron promoted him to running backs coach. - Baton Rouge Advocate
