The redshirt-freshman running back ran for 128 yards and had four touchdown rushes on 19 carries for Merrimack, which won its fourth-straight game and improved to 3-0 in NEC play with a 54-17 win over Wagner. Dawson, w ho nearly doubled his five league-best rushing touchdowns in one game alone, is tied for eighth in the FCS in the category with nine this season. Victor Dawson ran for four scores, Tyvon Edmonds Jr. added two more and Merrimack cashed in with six second-half touchdowns in beating winless Wagner 54-17 on Saturday. Wagner led 14-12 at halftime but the Warriors (5-2, 3-0 Northeast Conference) scored 21 points in each of the final two quarters to win their fourth straight game. Merrimack scored on six of their seven second-half drives. Dawson had three short runs for touchdowns plus a 34-yarder. He finished with 128 yards on 19 carries. Edmonds also had 19 carries for 140 yards and two short TDs runs. Merrimack finished with 309 yards rushing and Gavin McCusker threw for 181 yards and a score. Three Seahawks (0-6, 0-2) combined to go 21-of-30 passing for 229 yards. - AP College Football

The running back rushed 22 times for season-high 124 yards, including a season-best carry of 28 yards. A native of Akron, OH, Daw son's first touchdown, a nine-yard run, helped tie up the game before halftime at 14-14. In the third quarter, he tacked on an insurance score for the Warriors on the first play of Merrimack's seventh drive after running it in from 18 yards. Victor Dawson ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns and Merrimack held off Duquesne 28-21 on Saturday. Dawson scored on 9-and 18-yard runs as the Warriors (4-2, 2-0 Northeast Conference) scored 21 straight points to take a 28-14 lead late in the third qua rter. The Dukes (1-5, 0-2) quickly answered with a 48-yard deep strike from Darius Perrantes down the left sideline to Abdul Janneh in the final minute of the quarter.Merrimack fumbled the ball inside the Duquesne 5-yard line and the Dukes pinned the Warriors at their one. However, Merrimack put together a 12-play drive, chewing up 6:33, before punting the ball to the Dukes' 15. Duquesne reached its own 41-yard line with a pair of first downs before four straight incompletions. Gavin McCusker thr ew for a touchdown to Hayden Fisher and Donvan Wadley ran for his first career score for Merrimack. Tyvon Edmonds Jr. ran for 99 yards as the Warriors piled up 256 of their 419 total yards on the ground.
