2023 ALL-BIG TEN HONORABLE MENTION: ST Jaylin Lucas,...Even with teams kicking short or electing for out of the end zone, Jaylin Lucas was still the highest-rated kickoff return man in the FBS among specialists 25-or-more returns on the season. His 572 k ickoff return yards led the Big Ten, was No. 5 among Power 5 returners and sat ranked No. 14 in the FBS. His 100-yard kickoff return against Purdue tied for the longest play in IU history and was one of 10 returns of 100 yards in the FBS during the 2023 season, the only 100-yard effort in the Big Ten. - Indiana Football

2022 WALTER CAMP FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: KR Jaylin Lucas, Indiana,...With two return touchdowns, Lucas is No. 2 on both the IU single season and career charts after one season on campus. He trails Thigpen (2005-08), who returned all three of his career kickoffs for scores during the 2006 campaign. His two kickoff return touchdowns rank tied for No. 7 among active FBS student-athletes, as well. With 591 kickoff return yards, Lucas finished No. 12 in a single season in program history and led the Big Ten in the category. His 28.1 yards per return rank No. 4 nationally. He added 271 yards rushing and 82 yards receiving to total 994 all-purpose yards on the season to lead the team. That total is the most in a season by an IU player since Whop Philyor (1,0 94) in 2019. - Indiana Football

2022 ALL-BIG TEN FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): KR Jaylin Lucas, Indiana,...With two return touchdowns, Lucas finished No. 2 on both the IU single season and career charts after one season on campus. He trails Marcus Thigpen (2005-08), who returned all t hree of his career kickoffs for scores during the 2006 campaign. His two kickoff return touchdowns rank tied for No. 7 among active FBS student-athletes, as well. Along with his return stats, Lucas is the first Hoosier since Tevin Coleman in 2014 with th ree 70-yard scoring plays in a single season. Both of his kickoff return scores covered 80-plus yards and he added a 71-yard rushing touchdown in the season finale versus Purdue as part of his first career 100-yard rushing game. On the season, Lucas tota led 944 all-purpose yards, the most in a season since Whop Philyor (1,094) in 2019. - Indiana Football
