TCU's offensive line was a main component in the Horned Frogs championship run in 2023. The unit stayed healthy and produced consistent results, allowing head coach Sonny Dykes and Co. to succeed through the air and on the ground. The Frogs' top two offe nsive lineman, however, are heading to the NFL draft: Alan Ali and Steve Avila. Both were named First Team All-Big 12 members for their efforts protecting quarterback Max Duggan and paving the way for running back Kendre Miller. With offensive line man Brandon Coleman, Garrett Hayes and Andrew Coker returning, the Frogs have solid depth. What they don't have, however, is a top talent similar to Avila or Ali. Can Alabama transfer Tommy Brockermeyer be dominant for the Frogs out of the gates? Brocker meyer, a 247Sports five star recruit out of All Saints Episcopal High School, didn't receive consistent opportunity at Alabama, playing two games in 2022 as a backup after redshirting in 2021. Brockermeyer was the Dallas Morning News' No. 1 recruit in th e Dallas area in 2021. Now that Brockermeyer is back in his home state of Texas, he may have an opportunity to showcase his skills and gain collegiate experience. - Dallas Morning News

Alabama transfer offensive lineman Tommy Brockermeyer is returning home. The former All Saints' Episcopal star announced he was transferring to TCU on Tuesday. Brockermeyer was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2021 and is the fourth SEC transfer the H orned Frogs have landed in the last week. His teammate JoJo Earle announced his transfer to TCU on Saturday. Florida cornerback Avery Helm and LSU wide receiver Jack Bech also committed to TCU out of the transfer portal this weekend. Brockermeyer saw lim ited snaps in two seasons with the Crimson Tide, but is still rated a four-star transfer prospect by 247Sports. His father Blake is also a Fort Worth native and was an All-American offensive lineman at Texas. Blake Brockermeyer played nine seasons in the NFL. - Fort Worth Star
