Thomas Sio, Oregon State, Player News

  05/14/22 - DT Thomas SiorJr/2025, Oregon State, 6-3, 332 (DS#999 DT) + More +

It's difficult statistically to measure defensive line play. They're never going to get big tackle numbers, and Oregon State's scheme is set up for outside linebackers to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. For defensive lines, you know a good one when you see one. Oregon State isn't there yet. Sio was probably the spring highlight, as the 365-pound tackle consistently showed he could be a force in the middle. During coach Jonathan Smith's five-year tenure, the Beavers haven't had someone of Sio's girth and talent on the defensive line, outside of the oft-injured Jordan Whittley. - The Oregonian
