  2022 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: Running Back - Marquez Cooper, Kent State,...Cooper earns his first all-conference nod after posting the sixth 1,300+ yard season in program history, finishing second in the MAC and 14th in the FBS with 1,331 yards. Cooper's 13 rushing touchdowns are top-10 all time in a season for the Flashes. Cooper averaged over 130 yards per game in conference games (132.7) and he had the sixth 240+ yard game in program history in the victory over Ohio. He and Cephas became the only tandem in FBS history to each have over 240 yards in the same game. - Kent State Football

  Four players had 200-yard rushing games to raise the season total to 10. Marquez Cooper of Kent State carried a national season-high 40 times for 240 yards against Ohio. Syracuse's Sean Tucker had 23 carries for 232 yards against Wagner. Northern Illinois' Harrison Waylee ran 30 times for 230 yards against Ball State, the most allowed by the Cardinals since 2008. Alabama's Jahmyr Gibbs had 18 runs for 206 yards against Arkansas. - AP College Football

  Collin Schlee threw two touchdown passes, Marquez Cooper added two on the ground and Kent State scored 28 second-quarter points on its way to its first victory of the season, 63-10 over Long Island on Saturday. Schlee's 50-yard strike to Devontez Walker in the end zone started the scoring. The Sharks tied it on a 50-yard touchdown pass play from Derek Green to Owen Glascoe. Kent State's 28-point second quarter followed, including Gavin Garcia's punt block that J.B. Awolowo returned 34 yards for a 35-10 halftime lead. Schlee threw for 199 yards on 10-of-12 passing. Green was 14-of-18 passing for 172 yards with Glascoe making five catches for 101 yards for the Sharks (0-3). The Golden Flashes (1-2) opened with losses to then-No. 7 Oklahoma and Washington and play at top-ranked Georgia next Saturday. - Kent State/AP College Football

Got the start at #6 Texas A&M rushing eight times for 43 yards and having one reception for 19 yards; Started in the home opener against VMI and had twelve rushes for 119 yards and a touchdown; Started at #5 Iowa rushing ten times for 38 yards; Saw some action at Maryland rushing 13 times for 48 yards and also pulled in one reception for 18 yards; Started against Bowling Green rushing 31 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
