  Homegrown talent, tight end Caden Clark, announced via Twitter Monday that he will be returning to Akron to play for the Zips. Clark, 6-foot-4, 258 pounds, will return from Tuscaloosa, Ala. where he was on the Alabama Crimson Tide roster last season. He did not get any playing time. Clark was much sought after on the recruiting trail, receiving offers from West Virginia, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Boston College before heading south. Joining Clark will be Anthony Whigan, a 6-foot-4, 316-pound offensive lineman who will transfer from Penn State, according to his announcement via Twitter. - Akron Beacon Journal
