Travis Russell, Ferris State, Player News

NOV 4 GLIAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Travis Russell, Ferris State,...Ferris State University senior quarterback Travis Russell had a big day for the second-ranked Bulldogs as he led FSU to at least a share of the GLIAC Championship with a dominating 52-0 road win over Michigan Tech on a snowy field in Houghton. Russell got the start in place of the injured Jayru Campbell and completed 13-of-19 passes for 323 yards while accounting for three scores in the win at Sherman Field. He tossed a pair of long touchdowns with a 78-yarder to wideout Xavier Wade in the first half and a 73-yard toss to tailback Marvin Campbell in the third period. Russell's play helped FSU roll up 615 total yards as the Bulldogs moved to 9-0 this year. He picked up FSU's first score on the ground to cap a game-opening 83-yard march. HONORABLE MENTION, OFFENSE: Austin Brenner (AU), Dakota Kupp (WSU), Casey Williams (SVSU), Tyshon King (NMU), Ben Hartley (MTU), Brandon Wadley (GVSU). - GLIAC Football
