Former Tennessee football players Jordan Allen and Savion Williams selected transfer destinations in recent days, opting for programs in the Football Championship Subdivision. Williams, a defensive lineman who played two seasons at Tennessee, committed to Florida A&M. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Williams, from Washington, D.C. was the No. 1-ranked junior college defensive tackle in the 2019 class. His offer list included Georgia, Nebraska and West Virginia, but he never gained much playing time with the Vols. His seven tackles in the first two games of the 2019 season accounted for his total in nine career games played through 1½ seasons at Tennessee. - Knoxville News Sentinel

Former Tennessee Volunteer Savion Williams has announced that he is transferring to FIU. Williams, a 6-4, 290-pound defensive lineman, competed at a junior college before he signed with Tennessee. He played eight games for the Volunteers during the past two seasons. "This is a business decision," Williams said on Twitter. "I made my decision based on where I could maximize my full potential and also be the best God-fearing man I could be off the field. "Thank you [FIU coach] Butch Davis for even giving me this opportunity. [Davis] has seen what great defensive linemen look like, and I will continue to be one of the hardest-working men when I touch the field." - Miami Herald
