2021 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Aaron Dykes, Richmond, KR, Jr.,...Dykes earns his second postseason All-CAA honor of his career and this year marks the first time he has been named First Team All-CAA as a kickoff returner. Dykes averaged 27.3 yards per kickoff this year, ranking second all-time in program history in a single season trailing only Justin Rogers' 30.4 yard average in 2004. Dykes returned his third career kickoff for a score against nationally ranked Villanova, posted a CAA-best 98-yard return in the game. He also puts up stats on offense, finishing the year with 11 total touchdowns – six rushing, four receiving and one kickoff return. - Richmond Football

2019 ALL-COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION THIRD TEAM (COACHES): Aaron Dykes, Richmond, KR, Fr., Knoxville, Tenn.,...Dykes rounds out the Spiders' all-conference selections, earning Third Team All-CAA honors as a kickoff returner in his redshirt freshman yea r. He is one of three freshmen honored on the All-Conference teams. He becomes the first Spider returner to earn All-Conference honors since Justin Grant picked up second team accolades in 2012. Dykes finished second in the CAA and eighth in NCAA FCS ave raging 27.1 yards per kickoff return this year. He also was tied for the CAA and national lead with two kickoff returns for touchdown this year. He was named the CAA Special Teams and National Special Teams Player of the Week earlier this year when he be came the first Spider in program history to have to kickoff returns for touchdowns in the same game against Delaware. - Richmond Football

OCT 28 STATS FCS NATIONAL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Aaron Dykes, Richmond, RB/KR, R-Fr., 5-11, 195, Knoxville, Tennessee,...Dykes twice answered Delaware scores with kickoff returns for touchdowns, breaking off 100- and 88-yard plays to spark Ric hmond's 35-25 road upset in CAA Football. He tied the FCS record with the two kickoff returns for TDs, finishing with 226 yards on four returns. Adding in carries and receptions, he had 260 all-purpose yards. OCT 28 CAA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Aaron Dykes, R-Fr., KR/RB, Richmond (Knoxville, Tenn./Hardin Valley),...Dykes became the first player in Richmond history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in a game as the Spiders knocked off No. 19 Delaw are, 35-25. He had a 100-yard return in the first quarter and then followed with an 88-yard return in the second that gave UR a 28-10 lead. The two KOR's for TD's tied a FCS and CAA record and his 226 return yards for the game set a new Spiders' mark and is the 3rd-highest total in FCS this season. - Colonial Athletic Association Football
