2019 ALL-SIAC FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Wide Receiver Shemar Bridges, Fort Valley State, Junior,...Bridges led the Wildcats receiving corps with 51 grabs for 765 yards and four touchdowns. The one time SIAC Newcomer of the Week logged six games wit h 74-plus yards receiving and recorded six or more catches in five contests. The 6-4 wide out ranked second in the SIAC at 5.1 receptions per game and third in receiving yards per game (76.5 yds/gm). Shemar pulled in seven passes for 129 yards at Savanna h State and seven more passes for 74 yards and a touchdown against SIAC Champion Miles College. OCT 29 SIAC NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: Shemar Bridges, Fort Valley State, Wide Receiver, Junior, Jacksonville, Florida,...Bridges caught 8 passes for 91 yards in Saturday's win over the Clark Atlanta Panthers, but it was his final grab of 7 yards on his right back shoulder that was good for the game-winning touchdown. The junior wide receiver had receptions of 17 and 23 yards on an opening drive which produced a field goal for the Wildcats. The Florida native also had a 19-yd catch and only two plays later s cored FVSU's first touchdown. Bridges had a 10-yd catch in the third quarter drive that resulted in a field goal and finished with catches of 10 and two yards before the 7-yard touchdown catch for the game-winning points. - Southern Intercollegiate Athle tic Conference Football
