  Breylin Smith passed for 410 yards and five touchdowns - including two to Tyler Hudson that covered 118 yards - and Central Arkansas rolled to a 63-3 victory over NAIA-member Texas Wesleyan in nonconference play on Saturday. Smith connected with Tobias Enlow for a 30-yard TD on Central Arkansas' first possession and - after a 2-yard scoring run by Darius Hale capped the Bears' second drive - fired a 93-yard scoring strike to Hudson for a 21-0 lead after one quarter. Smith had TD throws of 54 yards to Christian Richmond, 80 yards to Lujuan Winningham and a 25-yarder to Hudson, following Hale's 20-yard TD run, for a 49-0 lead at the half. Smith completed 13 of 17 passes for Central Arkansas (5-4). Hudson finished with five catches for 178 yards, while Hale ran for 88 yards on 13 carries. Carson Rogers and Dalton Dale combined to complete 13 of 23 passes for 153 yards for the Rams - with each throwing an interception.   Breylin Smith passed for one touchdown and ran for another, Central Arkansas returned two interceptions for touchdowns and the Bears defeated Jacksonville State 38-14 on Saturday. Smith hit Sam Camargo for a 13-yard score and added another less than two minutes later on a 1-yard keeper which came after Cameron Godfrey returned an interception to the Gamecocks 12. Treston Dunn grabbed the ball after it slipped from the hand of Zerrick Cooper as the Gamecocks quarterback was hit and returned it 51 yards for a score with just over a minute left in the half for a 21-7 lead. Christian Cain had the other pick-6, an 87-yarder late in the game. Darius Hale rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries for the Bears (4-4, 3-2 ASUN-WAC Challenge).   Breylin Smith threw four first-half touchdown passes and Central Arkansas beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 45-23 on Saturday night. Smith finished 31-of-42 passing for 329 yards. Three different receivers had a touchdown catch from inside the 7, and Tyler Hudson's 19-yard touchdown catch stretched the Bears' lead to 28-3 with about a minute to play before halftime. Lujuan Winningham led Central Arkansas (1-2) with six receptions for 96 yards. Darius Hale had a pair of short-yardage TD runs in the fourth quarter and finished with 76 yards rushing.   Breylin Smith threw two touchdown passes, and the Central Arkansas defense had seven sacks and forced six turnovers in its 33-24 win over Missouri State on Saturday night. Logan Jessup, a sophomore linebacker who went into the game with one career sack, had 3 1/2 sacks on Saturday and Cameron Godfrey added two of UCA's four interceptions. Hayden Ray tied a school record with a career-high four made field goals, including three after halftime when Central Arkansas outscored MSU 16-0. Despite committing four first-half turnovers - including a 35-yard pick-6 by Central Arkansas' Deandre Lamont - Missouri State took a 24-17 lead into the break. But the UCA defense stiffened in the second half, allowing Missouri State just 52 total yards and three first downs after halftime.

Missouri State (0-3) - a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, which postponed its football season to the spring due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic - completed its three-game fall season and is scheduled to play an eight-game MVC schedule beginning at South Dakota on February 20, 2021.   Breylin Smith passed for 296 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions, and Central Arkansas earned a share of the Southland Conference title with a 52-35 win over Incarnate Word on Friday night. Central Arkansas (9-3, 7-2) shares the title with Nicholls, which beat SE Louisiana on Thursday night. Nicholls earned the automatic bid to the FCS playoffs due to beating Central Arkansas 34-14 on Oct. 5. The Bears, ranked 11th in the FCS Coaches Poll, are in line for an at-large berth. The Bears never trailed, but the Cardinals (5-7, 4-5) closed a 17-point deficit to 31-28 on Jon Copeland's 8-yard TD keeper with 3:52 left in the third quarter.   Breylin Smith threw a pair of touchdowns and Central Arkansas led for the duration in a 30-7 win over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. With the win, the Bears (8-3, 6-2) held onto a share of first place in the Southland Conference standings. A four-way tie heading into Saturday is now down to three teams as Sam Houston State (6-5, 5-3) lost to Northwestern State, while Southeast Louisiana (7-3, 6-2) and Nicholls (7-4, 6-2) both won. Smith, a redshirt sophomore for the sixth-ranked Bears, has thrown for 2,848 yards through nine games this season. He has completed 66.6 percent of his passes (235 of 353) with 24 touchdown passes and eight interceptions. Smith is averaging 316.4 passing yards per game, which ranks fifth nationally. He is fourth in total passing yards, seventh in passing touchdowns and ninth in completion percentage.

Smith, who played at Conway (Ark.) High School, has won consecutive Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week awards, combining for 839 passing yards and eight touchdowns with one interception in the past two weeks.   Breylin Smith threw for a career-best 434 yards and four touchdowns as Central Arkansas walked over Lamar 45-17 in Southland Conference action on Saturday. Smith set a career high last week, throwing for 405 yards and four scores as the Bears rallied to beat Sam Houston State 29-25, for their sixth come-from-behind win this season. Smith was 30-for-37 passing with no interceptions as Central Arkansas scored on its second, third and fourth possession of the game to go ahead 21-0 in the first quarter.

The Bears went into the break leading 31-10 and were ahead 45-10 at the end of the third after Smith plunged in from the 1 and Tyler Hudson gathered in a 16-yard scoring strike from Smith.   Breylin Smith threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns, including a 15-yarder to Tyler Hudson with 3:57 remaining, and Central Arkansas held off Sam Houston State 29-25 on Saturday night. Hudson finished with 10 catches for 140 yards and a score.   Breylin Smith threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns and Central Arkansas beat McNeese 40-31 on Saturday. McNeese led 24-20 when Cody Orgeron threw a 32-yard touchdown to Trevor Begue with 25 seconds before halftime. In the third quarter, Smith threw a 78-yard TD to Tyler Hudson to put the Bears up 27-24. After forcing the Cowboys to turn it over on downs, backup Luke Hales entered and threw a 19-yard touchdown for a 10-point lead.

On McNeese's next possession, Orgeron led a 14-play, 75-yard drive that ended when he threw a 4-yard TD pass to Louis Conerly to bring the Cowboys within 34-31.
