  2019 ALL-LONE STAR CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Wyatt Strand, Eastern New Mexico, RB, Sr., Logan, NM,...Senior Wyatt Strand earned All-Academic honors as a quarterback and was also named to the Second Team as a running back. Strand threw 59 completions, connecting on 52 percent of his attempts for 784 yards through the air and seven passing touchdowns. As a ball carrier, Strand ran for the third-most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in the LSC, totaling 888 yards and found the endzone 11 times. The Logan, N.M. native finished tied for ninth in the conference with 66 total points. - Eastern New Mexico Football

  Eastern New Mexico will represent the Lone Star Conference in the 2019 Heritage Bowl against Southern Arkansas on Dec. 7 at Corsicana ISD's Tiger Stadium in Corsicana, Texas. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. For the third time in program history, the Greyhounds will compete in an NCAA Division II sanctioned bowl game after competing in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl in 2015 and 2016. ENMU, who finished the season 7-4 overall and 4-4 in the LSC, will have a chance to match the second-highest win total in program history against the Muleriders.

Southern Arkansas will be making their second-consecutive postseason appearance for the first time since playing in back-to-back bowl games in 1947 and 1948. The Muleriders finished with a record of 8-3 overall and in the Great American Conference. The Heritage Bowl (formerly the Corsicana Bowl) is an annual Division II Post-Season Collegiate Football Game held in Corsicana ISD's Tiger Stadium in Corsicana, Texas. Established in 2017, the game is played each year the first Saturday in December. The two participating teams will consist of schools competing in the Lone Star Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association and/or the Great American Conference. - Lone Star Football

  SEPT 16 LONE STAR OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Wyatt Strand, Eastern New Mexico, SR, Mathematics, QB, Logan, N.M., Logan HS,...Strand accounted for four total touchdowns in the Greyhound's 44-37 overtime win on the road at Colorado Mesa, including the game-winning score on a six-yard rushing touchdown in overtime. The Logan, N.M. native captained the Hound offense in a wild second half with two rushing touchdowns in the half to finish the night with 96 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns. Strand was also effective through the air, completing 6-of-12 passing attempts for 127 yards and a score. Strand and company totaled 561 yards of total offense, 434 of which came on the ground to record the team's second straight game with over 400 yards rushing. - Lone Star Conference Football
